Awesome neighborhood breakfast place. Wish I lived closer but definitely will be back the next time I'm in town. Try the cinnamon french toast. They take it to another level!

We love this place! I take my mom here every Sunday after church and we definitely have our favorites dishes. The restaurant is family-owned and they treat you like family...in a good way! The service is always great and they keep the coffee coming. The only thing I'd change would be to replace the little sugar packets with dispensers. But everything else I love. Especially the Shipwrecks. Picture your favorite omelette, you choose the ingredients, scrambled with American fries and topped with cheese. It's a winner! I finally remembered to take a photo BEFORE I started eating it. (See photo) You'll be glad you came.

Good foodserver. Food was very disappointing. Omelette was average and american fries' portion was very small, about three bites. Neither of us were impressed. Was looking forward to this first visit based on reviews.

Where do I begin? Once upon a time, I had a great experience at this establishment. It was clean and tidy, very family oriented, as well as having impeccable service and a chef that always prays before every shift. God Bless Mikhaels Restaurant and God Bless every dish that George prepares for his friends and family. Amen.

Small family shop atmosphere for breakfast, exactly what I was looking for.

When traveling we like to try local restaurants. We decided to give Mikhael's a try based on past reviews and they did not disappoint!! The staff was welcoming and friendly! We felt like family by the time we left! The food was great and the portions are generous! We will definitely eat here again the next time we're in Cedar Rapids!!

Great placed that's family owned and if you choose to eat there, they'll treat you like family but much nicer.

The food was great, it was prepared amazingly and my tastebuds were in heaven. Despite my grandparents going like once a month, today was my first time going with them! The staff are very nice and can joke around with regulars.

Outstanding food, fantastic service. My only “complaint” is hash browns aren’t on the menu. But whatever, it’s a great place and I’ll be back.

The food is amazing, the people are amazing and the service is down right excellent!!! I walked in thinking I had more money on me but no I had $9.92 I had a water and I do believe it was the hangover buger (had egg) with crackle cut fries. I was full happy and had no more room for food. My meal was just shy of $8 so I was still able to leave just a small tip. I went back in a few weeks later they recognized and where happy to see me again. That time I was able to tip better

A nice mom and pop restaurant where everyone that walks in the waitress knows them by name.

Wonderful staff with amazing food!!! great place with a good home style meal! clean and helpful the waitress I had was more then happy to take my order and my drive k was never empty I don't think that poor lady got a break she worked her butt off will definitely be back when I'm back in town

love the food & staff never had an issues one of my favorite places to go in cedar that isn't a chain. diner is a little outdated but other than that no issues

The best breakfast!!! One of my favorites!!

Delicious breakfast food, but the highlight was the truly friendly service. We were greeted by smiling faces and received prompt, friendly service for our entire visit. Our coffee was always hot! Our young boys loved the Mickey pancakes. Food came out quickly even through the place was almost full on a Sunday morning. We'll be back!

We just had a family breakfast with the grandkids and this place was great. They had the perfect items on the menu for all. The food was great. The staff was attentive and very nice. They were quick with spills too. Even the owner made the rounds to visit with the guest. We would go back for sure!

Throughly enjoy our visits there. The family atmosphere. the food, all great. Plus if you happen to go on a weekend you may get to see the Wife of the former(deceased) owner. The new owner is her Son.

Tiona was a great server. Our food was scalding hot (even our pancakes, French toast and over easy eggs). The owner was cooking himself. I will come back!

The place is very much a diner and not the cleanest place either. The food was very late coming out of the kitchen but it was fair to good. First impression was not the best
